Weaving is a new hobby that I recently found out from my instagram timeline. It's not so hard like knitting or crochet, and it's fun! You can make your own pattern, or picture with yarns, or just something for hang in the living room. I am actually not a person that could stay in a place for a long time to weave, but weaving can be my friend when I have nothing to do.
So as I promised on my Instagram, I will post how to make an easy D.I.Y weaving kit. And I already finished one weaving on my own with this weaving kit! Actually you can buy the weaving kit with some sizes to choose on the store, like Living Loving, or Lumiloom (@lumiloom on Instagram), but it comes with price, of course. If you want a cheap and easy weaving kit, you can try this tutorial!
It's still messy, but I love it. So, all you need to make the weaving kit are :
- a wood board, I use a cutting/chopping board, you also can use a unused wood frame, just the frame.
- a ruller
- a pencil
- a hammer
- some nails
- a roll of yarn
First thing you do is to mark the wood board on the bottom and on the top. Mark it with your pencil each 1 centimetre on the bottom. Then on the top too, but the first mark on the top is the same line (parallel) with the middle of two marks on the bottom.
Then, plug the nails in every marks you made. Do it carefully! You don't want your fingers to be smack by hammer, right?

When you finished plug the nails, put and twist the yarn over the nails, cross to cross, like this. Do that until the last nails. But I didn't, it's okay, you can choose what size of your weaving when you do this.
And voila! Here's the easy D.I.Y weaving kit! I hope you understand this tutorial (because my english are bad), and you can make one! I will post another D.I.Y tutorials later. Happy weaving!
